KOHAT: The cop of the District Special Branch (DSB) identified as Masawar was shot and injured by unidentified assailants in the limits of Jangalkhel Police Station on Thursday.
The wounded cop was immediately shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for medical treatment.Soon after the incident, District Police Officer (DPO), Kohat, Shehbaz Elahi, rushed to the scene upon receiving information about the occurrence and later visited the hospital to inquire after the injured official.He asked the doctors and hospital administration to ensure the best possible medical treatment to the injured cop.
The DPO also ordered police officers to intensify a search operation in the area for the arrest of those involved in the heinous crime. Heavy police contingents were deployed at various points, and snap-checking point were set up at entry and exit routes of the city.
