Kashmir Solidarity Day celebrated

Rawalpindi:Kashmir Solidarity Day was celebrated on Thursday with the resolve that political, diplomatic and social support for the oppressed Kashmiris will continue until the liberation of Kashmir.

The day began with special prayers in mosques for the success of the Kashmir freedom movement and the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs of Kashmir, while a minute’s silence was observed to express solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers.

In addition to human chains, walks and photo exhibitions, effigy of the Indian Prime Minister and Indian flags were also burned. On this occasion, in addition to the district administration and government institutions, the District Education Authority, Jamaat Separate rallies, processions and demonstrations were organized by the Islamic Party, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), Muslim League-N, People’s Party District Rawalpindi, Anjuman Tajran, Anjuman Shehrian Rawalpindi, in which political and social activists, ordinary citizens, students, lawyers, traders and people from all schools of thought participated in large numbers.

The main event regarding Kashmir Solidarity Day was organized by the District Administration Rawalpindi at Waqar-e-Nisa College for Women. The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hassan Waqar Cheema, the District Administration, officers from various departments, teachers, social figures and a large number of students. At the beginning of the event, a minute’s silence was observed to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people and the national anthem was played. The students presented tableaus regarding the atrocities being committed by the Indian forces on the Kashmiri people. The Deputy Commissioner said in his address that February 5 is a day of renewal. Pakistan will continue to provide political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri brothers. According to the decree of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Kashmir is the property of Pakistan.

The Pakistani people have always stood by the Kashmiri people and will continue to stand by them. He said that the United Nations and the international community should play a key role for their freedom in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. The sacrifices of the Kashmiri people to achieve freedom will never go in vain. Kashmiris are not even allowed to talk about their freedom. Kashmiris have been facing uncertainty for 78 years, be it business, education, or social activities. A special documentary was shown at the ceremony regarding the ongoing Indian atrocities in Kashmir. At the end of the ceremony, a rally was organized to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people. The rally participants raised slogans of Kashmir will become Pakistan.

On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, a rally was organized by railway officers, employees and railway pensioners to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people. The rally was led by Railway Deputy DS Hussainullah Khan, Divisional Commercial Officer Maryam Lodhi and labor leader Mubarak Hussain.

A large number of railway officers, employees and laborers participated in the rally and registered their protest against the atrocities being committed against the Kashmiri people and expressed their full support for their right to self-determination. The participants held placards and banners on which slogans were written in favor of the freedom of Kashmir and the oppressed Kashmiris.

The rally was organized by the International Human Movement Rawalpindi from the Rawalpindi Press Club. Kashmir Solidarity Rally was held till Committee Chowk. The rally was led by the movement’s Divisional Chairman Sheikh Abdul Waheed. Mashal Malik, wife of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik of occupied Kashmir, took a special part in the rally.

A large number of traders, lawyers, civil society and citizens participated in the rally. A solidarity walk was organized on Bank Road under the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board, in which Deputy CEO Nasir Kamal, Cantonment Board nominated member Zahid Iqbal Bakhtawari, Anjuman Tajran, officers and employees of the Cantonment Board and citizens participated in large numbers.

The aim of the walk was to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people and raise their voices against the ongoing Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir. The participants of the walk held banners and placards on which slogans were written in favor of the Kashmiri people, while the atmosphere echoed with slogans like “Kashmir will become Pakistan” and “We are with the Kashmiris.” On this occasion, the Deputy Executive Officer of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board said that February 5 is the day of this resolve of the entire Pakistani nation. It is a day of renewal that we stand by the Kashmiri people in their struggle for freedom.
