Rawalpindi/Islamabad:The International Quds Day in support of the oppressed, established by the leader of the Jafaria community Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi (RA), was observed on the last Friday of Ramazan with a spirit of solidarity with the oppressed people of the world, says a press release.

In his special message on this occasion, Chief of Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafaria (TNFJ), Allama Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi urged Muslim rulers that mere verbal condemnation of the suffering of the Muslim world is not sufficient.

He called on them to set aside political expediencies and demonstrate courage by pressuring the United Nations to resolve long-standing global issues, including Kashmir and Palestine. He also urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to convene an emergency meeting and adopt a bold policy to confront Zionist and Indian aggression.

Agha Muqaddasi emphasised that the purpose of observing International Quds Day-an initiative long continued by Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi in support of Palestinian and Kashmiri freedom fighters and the oppressed people of the world—is to awaken the conscience of global institutions that claim to uphold human rights.

The chief of TNFJ reminded that Agha Mousavi had repeatedly warned that if Muslim countries failed to unite against global imperialism and its allies, Israel and India, then one by one all Muslim nations would face the same fate.

Meanwhile, on this occasion, protest demonstrations and rallies were held across the country-including in the federal and provincial capitals as well as small and large cities-demanding theliberation of Al-Aqsa (the first Qibla), expressing support for the oppressed people of Kashmir and Palestine, and protesting against Zionist and Indian brutality and terrorism.

Religious scholars and speakers addressing gatherings emphasized that Al-Quds (Jerusalem) is sacred not only for Muslims but for all humanity and is among the symbols of God. They stated that protecting its sanctity and liberating it from Zionist control is a religious and moral duty of the entire Muslim world.

Under the auspices of TNFJ Rawalpindi, a protest rally was organized from Imambargah Ashiq Hussain, Teli Mohalla, led by prominent Sunni and Shia scholars and elders. The rally marched to Committee Chowk on Murree Road, where it turned into a large protest gathering.

Participants in the rally carried banners, placards, and slogans such as:“The struggle will continue until the liberation of Jerusalem.”“Down with American and Hindu imperialism.”“Death to Israel.”In the federal capital Islamabad, a rally was also organized on International Quds Day in support of the oppressed.
