LAHORE: The Inspector General of Pakistan Railways Police Rai Tahir has formally inaugurated the comprehensive digitalisation project of the Railway Police at the Central Police Office (CPO) on Saturday.

Under this project, the Railway Police has been fully digitalised. Railway Police’s all systems including Human Resource Management System, Police Station Record Management System, and Criminal Record Management System have been installed, and all police station records have been computerised under this project.

Customised software has been developed by the Pakistan Railways Police, and an in-house analysis system has been established. Systems have been put in place to utilize all electronic means for the arrest of suspects, and staff have been provided with the necessary training.

An electronic system has also been established to obtain Call Detail Records (CDRs) independently. By linking with the Pakistan Railways Police’s own database, comprehensive analysis is being carried out and criminal incidents are being traced effectively.
