Islamabad:In a dedicated effort to bolster internal morale and streamline departmental efficiency, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar convened a formal "orderly room" session, Friday, at the Central Police Office. The high-level meeting served as a direct forum for Islamabad Police officers to voice both professional grievances and personal challenges directly to the department’s leadership.

The session drew a diverse range of officers from various divisions across the capital. During the proceedings, DIG Zafar personally reviewed a series of cases presented by the personnel, ranging from administrative bottlenecks to individual welfare needs. Demonstrating a commitment to procedural integrity, the DIG directed senior officials to launch fresh inquiries into several complex departmental matters, ensuring that justice and transparency remain the cornerstones of the force's internal governance.

Beyond immediate troubleshooting, DIG Zafar highlighted a broader roadmap for the force’s institutional growth. He underscored several ongoing initiatives aimed at improving the daily lives of officers, specifically focusing on the expansion of high-quality housing, the provision of advanced medical facilities, and the elevation of educational standards for the children of police personnel.

In a direct address to the gathered officers, DIG Zafar reaffirmed his "open-door" policy, stressing that the welfare of the individual officer is inextricably linked to the security of the city. He emphasised that the primary objective of these orderly rooms is to eliminate bureaucratic delays in resolving staff issues, thereby allowing the force to focus entirely on its mission of public service. He concluded the session by calling for a spirit of collective responsibility, noting that a supported and well-resourced police force is essential for the continued betterment and safety of Islamabad.
