BATKHELA: A woman allegedly murdered her husband and buried his body in the courtyard of their house in Malakand, officials said on Sunday.
They said that the victim, identified as Lutfur Rahman alias Naushad, had been missing for the past two weeks. His brothers had lodged a report at the Levies Post Sakhakot.Following the complaint, Malakand Levies launched an investigation and included the victim’s wife in the inquiry. During interrogation, the woman confessed to have killed her husband.
Acting on her disclosure, Levies personnel carried out excavation inside the house and recovered the buried body from the courtyard.Additional Assistant Commissioner Wahidullah Khan told the reporters that the firearm used in the murder had also been recovered. He added that a thorough investigation into the incident was underway.
