CHITRAL: one person was killed and 10 others sustained injuries when a passenger van plunged into the river near Koragh in Upper Chitral on Friday.
Officials said a flying coach, carrying 11 passengers, was traveling from Peshawar to Torkhow in Upper Chitral when it met with the accident. As a result of the crash, Nusrat Jabeen, wife of Muhammad Ilyas and a resident of Booni, succumbed to her injuries at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) Booni. On the directives of the district administration of Upper Chitral, rescue teams rushed to the scene and launched relief operations.
