LAHORE: The intense heatwave maintained its grip on the provincial capital here on Saturday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
The city experienced clear skies and blistering temperatures soaring to 42°C with real feel of 45°C. As night falls, the weather remained clear with the temperature hovering around 37°C, accompanied by a light northward wind at 6mph and humidity levels down to 24pc. Met officials predicted that the heat was expected to intensify on Sunday (today). They predicted a sunny day with the maximum temperature climbing even higher to 42°C.
