Modern facilities being provided to police across KP: IGP

HANGU: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed said on Thursday that modern facilities were being provided to the police across the province, Safe City Centres were being established, and advanced monitoring systems were being introduced in all government buildings in order to ensure better and more effective services to the public.

Speaking at the annual passing-out parade at the Police Training College, Hangu, as chief guest, he urged police officers and personnel to make public service their top priority and to perform their duties with complete dedication.

The ceremony was attended by Regional Police Officer Kohat, Deputy Commissioner Hangu Abdul Naseer, Hangu District Police Officer Khan Zaib Mohmand and other senior civil and police officers.

The IGP inspected the parade and administered the oath of allegiance to the recruits who had completed their training.Earlier, Commandant of the Police Training College welcomed the distinguished guests and briefed the IGP in detail about the historical significance of the institution, its training system, and the challenges being faced.

Zulfiqar Hameed said that the Police Training College Hangu was a historic institution playing a vital role in police training. He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, due to its courage, bravery, and professional competence, was recognised not only at the national but also at the international level.

He expressed his resolve to take further steps to improve the police training college and enhance the capacity of the police force.Later, talking to reporters, the IGP said that all the needs of the police were being fulfilled, salaries of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police had been increased, and a uniform allowance had also been included.

He added that modern equipment and additional weapons were being provided to the police, while bulletproof vehicles and armoured personnel carriers (APCs) would also be provided soon.He said that the sacrifices being made by brave police personnel would not go in vain and that peace and law and order in the province would be further improved.
