PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has released Rs4 billion for the relief of affectees in Khyber district, sources in the Finance Department said on Tuesday.
According to sources, the funds would be utilised through the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) for the provision of food, shelter, and transportation facilities for the affectees of volatile areas.
They added that the funds for the ongoing relief activities in Khyber district had been provided in the financial year 2025-26.The sources also disclosed that the relief amount would be kept in a special account of the PDMA rather than in any commercial bank.
