MINGORA: Police in Swat recovered over 23 kilograms of hashish during a check in Saidu Sharif area, officials said on Thursday.
They said the action was taken in line with the vision of District Police Officer (DPO) Swat Muhammad Umar Khan for a “drug-free district Swat.”
The raid was led by Additional SP Swat Ghulam Sadiq Khan under the supervision of SDPO Saidu Naeem Hussain.
Acting on a tip-off from a confidential source, SHO Saidu Police Station Ziaur Rehman and his team intercepted a vehicle during routine mobile patrolling. A search of hidden compartments in the vehicle led to the recovery of 23.638 kilograms of hashish.
