RDA announces launch of e-Biz Portal, e-FOAS

Rawalpindi:Director General (DG) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Kinza Murtaza has said the e-Biz Portal and the e-Filing and Office Automation System (e-FOAS) would play a central role in strengthening governance and facilitating timely services, adding that both systems would be launched very soon, marking a new phase of digital transformation at the Authority.

According to an RDA spokesman, a review meeting was held at the RDA Conference Room to assess the progress, features and implementation roadmap of the e-Biz Portal and e-FOAS, key digital initiatives aimed at improving governance, transparency and public service delivery.

The DG directed all RDA directorates to adopt modern planning tools and digital systems to ensure transparency, efficiency and improved institutional performance.The meeting, chaired by Chief Planner RDA Muhammad Tahir Meo, received an online presentation from Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) representative Zaid bin Tariq, who outlined the operational framework, major functionalities and phased implementation of both platforms.

Officials stated that the systems would streamline processes, reduce manual interventions, and enhance service delivery efficiency.In line with the vision of Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman, all public services across government departments are to be provided through the e-Biz Portal to minimise physical visits, promote paperless governance and strengthen accountability across the province.

The meeting was attended by Director Administration RDA Iftikhar Ali, Director Land Ghazanfar Ali Awan, Deputy Director IT Dawood Khalid, Director Land Use and Building Control (LU&BC) Atif Chaudhry and other officials.

Participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening inter-departmental coordination, ensuring effective execution of development projects and continuously improving service delivery mechanisms, saying digital solutions would significantly support development, transparency and improved governance in Rawalpindi.
