KARACHI: Senior procurement professionals, supply chain leaders and policymakers gathered in Karachi on Tuesday for the Global Procurement and Supply Chain Summit 2026 to discuss evolving challenges and opportunities in Pakistan’s textile and manufacturing sectors.
Organised by Horizon Summit Management, the one-day summit was held at a local hotel and focused on sustainability, procurement digitisation, vendor integration, regulatory alignment and the growing use of data-driven and AI-enabled decision-making in supply chains.
Five panel discussions formed the core of the programme, covering sustainable supply chains, local vendor participation, global procurement practices in textiles, leadership and technology adoption, and regulatory frameworks aligned with international standards.
The summit was attended by senior executives from leading textile and manufacturing firms including Yunus Textile Mills, Gul Ahmed Textile Mills, Liberty Textiles, Lucky Textile Mills, Alkaram Textile Mills, Artistic Milliners, Rajby Industries, Soorty Enterprises and Qingdao Aige Jinyi Textile Co Ltd.
Technology experts and academics also shared insights on automation and digital infrastructure.Vice President Textile Traders Association Mobeen Waqar, Senior Vice President KCCI Muhammad Raza and Vice President KCCI Arif Lakhani attended as guests of honour.
