ISLAMABAD: The rupee on Monday appreciated by 01 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs 279.46 compared to the previous day’s closing at Rs279.47.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the Dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 279 and Rs 280.5, respectively.The price of the Euro against the rupee decreased by Rs2.47 to close at Rs327.47 from the previous day’s close of Rs329.94, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese yen came down by 02 paisa and closed at Rs 1.77, whereas the exchange rate of the British pound witnessed a decrease of Rs 3.07 and closed at Rs 373.56 compared to the previous day’s Rs 376.63.The exchange rate of the Emirates dirham stood stagnant to close at Rs 76.09, while the Saudi riyal came down to Rs 74.44.
