ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Thursday issued a series of orders approving resignations, retirements and appointments of civil and police officers, according to the Establishment Division.
The resignation of Commodore (retd) Muhammad Jawad Akhtar, Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, has been accepted by the prime minister.
Meanwhile, Additional Secretary in-charge of the Special Investment Facilitation Council Division, Jameel Ahmed Qureshi, has been granted a three-month extension in the additional charge of secretary, Investment Board.
In the police service, the government issued post-retirement notifications for four Grade-18 officers. Notifications were issued for the retirement of SP Arif Rana on Nov 24, 2025, SP Mushtaq Ahmed Abbasi on Nov 30, 2025, and SP Fida Hussain Solangi on August 24, 2025. All three officers were serving under the Sindh government at the time of their retirement.
Another Grade-18 officer, Fida Hussain, serving under the Punjab government, had his retirement on Oct 4, 2025, which has also been notified.
Additionally, Muhammad Asif, an OSD of the Office Management Group (Grade-18), has been assigned to the Board of Investment, while Yasir Ali, awaiting appointment, has been posted as Section Officer in the Economic Affairs Division.
