LAHORE: Former Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen has sparked excitement among Pakistan Super League (PSL) fans having plans for a potential new franchise ahead of the PSL-11 expansion auction.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Tareen shared a fan-made concept logo of the Sialkot Stallions, reigniting speculation about the return of one of Pakistan’s most iconic T20 teams.

The possibility of Sialkot’s inclusion has fueled hopes among supporters that the legendary Stallions brand could make its PSL debut. Founded in 2004, the Stallions were based at Jinnah Stadium, Sialkot, and under the coaching of Azmat Rana, they dominated Pakistan’s domestic T20 circuit. Between 2005-06 and 2009-10, the team won five consecutive National T20 Cup titles, cementing their status as a powerhouse. Their golden era also included a world record 25-match winning streak in top-level domestic T20 cricket, making them one of the most celebrated franchises in Pakistan’s history.
