ISLAMABAD: Abubakar Talha delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Luke Jie Xi Ho of Singapore in a thrilling final to win the ITF Dilawar Abbas Junior Tennis Championship (J-60, Leg-3) at the PTF Tennis Complex Friday.
Abubakhar won with a score of 7-6(3), 7-6(7), beating Singapore player in tie breaks. Both set were decided on tie break with Abubakhar making the best of the opportunity.
In the girls’ single final, Zhiyu Zhou of China dominated the match, defeating Yerin Lim of Korea in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 to win the title. Girls and boys doubles will be contested on Saturday (today).
