Pakistan outplay Bangladesh in Beach Games kabaddi

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan beat Bangladesh 43-30 in the kabaddi event of the Asian Beach Games underway in Sanya (China).

The Pakistan team that was earlier narrowly defeated by Iran came back strongly to beat Bangladesh. In the 60m sprint event Samiullah has made it to the final by finishing second in the heat 2.

Pakistan women are also making strides in the Games with Ambreen Tariq reaching the quarter-finals of the Jiujitsu event. She defeated Jordanian opponent 9-0 in the pre-quarters. Later however Ambreen lost her quarterfinals against a Korean opponent famous for their jiujitsu prowess. Later in the day sprinter Faiqa Riaz reached the finals of the 60m race. Faiqa showed outstanding ability to leave famous Asian sprinters behind for a place in the final.
