CHARSADDA: Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information Ikhtiar Wali on Sunday claimed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister went to Lahore with a convoy of 100 vehicles but only 250 people were seen to welcome him there.

“There is usually more crowd at Bandu Khan Paye Wala in Lakshmi Chowk than at the chief minister’s reception, “ the PM’s aide said while talking to reporters here.

Ikhtiar Wali said that the KP CM had seen Liberty, Mall Road and compared them with the roads and bazaars of Peshawar. He challenged the KP CM to at least develop one road or market in Peshawar like Lahore.

He questioned why and how the CM was taken into the Punjab Assembly along with his bodyguards, saying that the CM brought humiliation upon himself.

He added that if even a stone had been thrown at the KP CM in Punjab, the blame would have been put on the Punjab government. Had he not gone with a dirty agenda just for showmanship, the incident would not have occurred. He claimed that the Punjab government had taken full-proof security steps as well as arrangements for food for the KP CM. Ikhtiar Wali said that for the last 13 years such people had been ruling the province, but they had nothing to show in terms of performance except lies and abuse.

He said that the Punjab government was providing employment, laptops, development, vehicles and prosperity to the people, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s social media was only known for “dance” clips.

The PM’s aide said that they also wanted the education and development of the Pakhtuns and would not allow universities in the province to be shut down. He alleged that the business of ice (crystal meth) and other drugs was at its peak in the province.
