LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled a strict new policy aimed at regulating domestic cricket and ensuring high standards across the country.
According to recent development, the board has officially banned the organizing of cricket tournaments without its prior approval, marking a significant shift in the governance of grassroots and departmental competitions.
Under the new regulations, it is now mandatory for organizers to obtain formal PCB approval before hosting any cricket tournament. The board has adopted a zero-tolerance approach, declaring that any event held without an official permit will be considered unauthorized.
To enforce this policy, the PCB has warned of severe sanctions for participants and officials involved in unapproved competitions. Players who take part in unauthorized tournaments will face bans from official cricket, while umpires and scorers who officiate in such events will also be subject to disciplinary action.
