SUKKUR: Six people were killed and 10 others injured when a van collided with a tractor trolley on Mehran Highway in Nawabshah on Wednesday.
According to details, a passenger van travelling from Karachi to Thari Mirwah hit a tractor trolley loaded with sugarcane near Dour on the Mehran Highway. Four people died on the spot, while two more succumbed to their injuries in hospital. Nine other passengers sustained serious injuries.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the dead and injured to Peoples Medical Hospital, where an emergency was declared.
The deceased have been identified as Muhammad Moosa, Ali Muhammad and Maryam Khatoon. Three bodies remain unidentified.
