KALAYA: Police in Orakzai arrested four accused in the abduction and murder case of a three-year-old girl, District Police Officer (DPO) Shaukat Ali said on Tuesday.

The tragic incident occurred in the Upper Ghaljo area of Orakzai, where the minor girl, Muqaddas, was abducted and later killed in a highly gruesome manner. Following the incident, a case was registered at Ghaljo Police Station and a swift.

Talking to reporters, the DPO said on November 19, 2025, the complainant Abdul Qayyum reported the disappearance of his niece Muqaddas, 3, at Ghaljo Police Station. After completing legal formalities and collecting initial evidence, an FIR No. 30 dated November 27, 2025, was registered under sections 364-A/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

During the investigation, he said, the police recovered the skeletal remains of a minor girl from a mountainous area of Upper Ghaljo. Given the sensitivity and gravity of the case, a special Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was constituted under the direct supervision of the DPO Orakzai. The investigators, he said, revealed that the prime suspect, Zain Gul, along with his accomplice Ehsan, planned and carried out the abduction, while Fazlur Rehman alias Roman was involved as a facilitator after being lured by financial incentives. The suspects abducted the innocent child and kept her confined at a secret location in a mountainous area, where she was reportedly kept unconscious using intoxicating substances.

The DPO said that Zain Gul, along with his accomplices, kidnapped the innocent child with the intention of extorting money from the friend and securing a coal lease in his own name. β€œThe child was kept in illegal confinement for five days. When her condition deteriorated, the accused brutally killed her by hitting her with a stone,” he said.
