Sindh Senior Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon on Monday announced major good news for the people of Karachi, stating that double-decker buses for the city had reached the port.
According to a statement issued, he said that, InshaAllah, the double-decker buses would soon be seen operating on Karachi’s roads. He described the arrival of these buses as an important step towards improving public transport facilities in the metropolis.
The senior minister added that the Sindh Government’s Transport Department was finalising all necessary arrangements to formally induct the double-decker buses into service at the earliest.
He further said that the Sindh Government was committed to providing modern, safe and comfortable transport facilities to the public, and the inclusion of double-decker buses was another significant move in that direction.
