MINGORA: A delegation of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) concluded its official visit to the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Swat, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s journey toward academic excellence and institutional development.
The HEC team was led by Aamir Manzoor, director general (Attestation and accreditation), and included Irfan Yousaf, assistant director, Dr Abdul Hafeez, dean faculty of Medicine at Air University, an associate professor from the University of Agriculture Peshawar, and Kamal Shah, associate professor at Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan.
During the visit, the delegation conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the university’s academic programmes, administrative framework, infrastructure, documentation, and overall institutional preparedness in line with HEC-prescribed standards. The assessment was carried out in a professional and congenial environment, reflecting UVAS Swat’s strong governance structure, effective management, and firm commitment to quality assurance in higher education.
The successful organisation of the HEC visit was made possible through the collective efforts of the university’s advisors, faculty members, administrative officers, and supporting staff. Their professionalism, coordination, and institutional readiness presented UVAS Swat as a well-organized and progressive higher education institution.
The university administration particularly acknowledged the visionary leadership, strategic guidance, and continued support of the vice-chancellor, whose emphasis on teamwork, accountability, and academic discipline played a pivotal role in the successful conduct of the visit and the university’s ongoing development.
