LANDIKOTAL: A district court in Khyber has awarded the death sentence to the husband of a female Sub-Divisional Education Officer (SDEO) for her murder in Landikotal, police said on Sunday.
The police said that the victim, Rizwana Shaheen, an SDEO posted in a government school in the Merikhel area of Landikotal, was stabbed to death inside the school hostel on June 17, 2023.
The victim left behind four school-going children, who went into the care of the maternal relatives.Police arrested the accused and produced the proofs of the crime in the court which led to his convictionDistrict Police Officer Waqar Ahmed, praised the investigation team, Khyber Shafiq Khan, and Investigation Officer Sultan Raza Khan for their performance.
