Islamabad:Bakhtawari Kings defeated Yahya Tigers to win the final of the DSL Cricket Super League II held here at Marghzar Cricket Ground, says a press release.
The winning team was awarded a cash prize of Rs400,000 while the runner-up team received Rs200,000 along with trophies.Chief guests at the final, Deputy DG Pakistan Sports Board Shahid Islam and Senior Vice President ICCI Tahir Ayub, distributed the prizes.
The DSL II tournament featured thrilling matches among eight teams — Kings, Mehmd Super Giants, Tigers, Musa Eleven, Isa Lions, Aiman Sultans, Eliana Gladiators, and Mustafa Qalandars.
Batting first, Kings scored 54 runs in the allotted overs. In reply, Tigers could manage only 23 runs. League organizer Ahsan Bakhtawari announced cash prizes worth Rs600,000 along with trophies for the winner and runner-up teams, while a motorcycle was awarded to the Man of the Tournament.
Ahsan stated that in addition to cricket, football and other sports competitions would also be organized and under the mission of Clean and Green Islamabad, efforts would be made to beautify the city. Sajid Sadpara encouraged youth to move forward in sports with hard work, dedication, and determination.
