LAHORE:The district administration has fixed the registration fee for kite and string makers for upcoming Basant festival in Lahore. After the Punjab government gave conditional permission to celebrate Basant, the administration has issued clear rules and regulations for kite making, string manufacturing and kite flying associations.
The registration fee for string and kite manufacturers will be Rs1,000 while the registration fee for kite flying associations will be Rs5,000. Kite and string makers will have to submit Form A for registration while kite flying associations will have to submit Form C. The administration said that the string will be made only from cotton thread and no more than 9 strands will be used in it.
