It has been reported that Pakistan Railways made over Rs110 million in bogus electricity payments without conducting any verification, checks or investigation. If a major national institution can fall victim to such fraudulent payments, then ordinary citizens stand no chance.
We already get bills with sudden increases, wrong readings and extra charges. Many people keep paying because they fear their power will be cut. There must be a full inquiry into this scandal with strict punishment.
