LANDIKOTAL: A court in Khyber district on Thursday sentenced a man to life imprisonment after prosecutors proved he had murdered a Landikotal resident over personal enmity.
The court awarded Shad Khan life term along with a fine of Rs1 million. It ruled that the fine must be paid to the heirs of the deceased, Rehmat and in case of non-payment, the convict will face an additional two years in prison.
The court sentenced Shad Khan to an additional three years under section 15-AA for possessing illegal weapons.Public prosecutors in the case were Malik Sajidullah and Yar Rehman, both Peshawar High Court lawyers.
