PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court Chief Justice SM Attique Shah on Thursday directed the police to recover a woman’s four children, who were taken away by her husband and provide security to her.
The court also issued a written order and directed the relevant authorities that the children be produced before the court today.According to the order, the petitioner appeared before the court with tears in her eyes and pleaded that her husband had taken away their four children.
During the hearing, the advocate general and the relevant police officer appeared. The police officer informed the court that the children had been taken by the husband to Lahore. After their location was traced there, he fled to Karachi.
The officer said that the man was now residing in East Karachi and the local police official had been notified. The AG was asked to take all possible measures to recover the children and produce them in court.
The woman informed the court that her brother-in-law had also been threatening her. The court directed the concerned police officers to ensure her protection.Since the petitioner is facing financial hardship, the AG was told to take up her case with the Social Welfare Department. The bench ordered that the children be recovered and produced in court today.
