RAWALPINDI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) Monday took a strict notice of the repeated non-appearance of Aleema Khanum, sister of PTI founder chairman Imran Khan, in a November 26 protest case.

The case was registered by Sadiqabad police station. Giving the accused the last chance, the court ruled that in case of non-appearance of the accused and her lawyer on the next date, not only the bail of the accused could be canceled but also the accused would be given a state lawyer for defense.

The court further ruled that action would also be taken against the accused’s guarantors. The court adjourned the case hearing till December 11. The statements of witnesses will be recorded on the next date.
