KOHAT: Stressing the need for boosting security of all public and private places, Regional Police Officer (RPO), Kohat region, Abbas Majeed Marwat, on Friday asked cops to make search and strike operations more effective across all districts.
He was speaking at the crime control and counter-terrorism meeting to review the overall law and order situation in the Kohat region.The meeting was held at the RPO Office Kohat and was attended by all District Police Officers (DPOs) of the region, including DPO Kohat, DPO Karak, DPO Hangu, DPO Orakzai, and the Superintendent of Police of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Kohat.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of the prevailing law and order situation, crime trends, ongoing police operations, and actions against criminal and terrorist elements was conducted. The district police officers briefed the RPO in detail about crime statistics, recent arrests, recoveries, successful operations, and the challenges being faced in their respective districts.
Special emphasis was placed on curbing serious crimes including theft, robbery, street crime, drug trafficking, and the arrest of proclaimed offenders. Addressing the meeting, RPO Abbas Majeed Marwat issued strict directives to ensure the immediate arrest of outlaws involved in terrorism, theft, robbery, and other heinous crimes.He said that the protection of the lives and property of the public is the top priority of the police, and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
