LAHORE:Four suspects were killed in four alleged police encounters in the provincial capital on Thursday.The encounters were reported in the Nishtar and Kahna areas. According to CCD Police, Naveed Bala and Anjum Anju were killed in an alleged encounter in the Model Town division, while ShahidShahdi and Mujahid Haji were gunned down in another encounter in Kahna.
Police said the suspects were hit by gunfire from their own accomplices during the exchange. Their associates managed to escape under the cover of darkness.According to officials, the slain suspects were involved in drug trafficking and other serious crimes.
