LAHORE:Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed that the process of repatriating illegally residing Afghan nationals and other foreigners be expedited across Lahore and the entire province. He also commended Rawalpindi Police for their excellent performance in this campaign. Dr Usman Anwar issued these directions while chairing a meeting at the Central Police Office on Thursday.
The meeting was convened to review the province-wide law and order situation, traffic management, challaning matters, improvement of traffic flow, repatriation of illegally residing Afghan nationals and other foreigners, arrest of extremist proclaimed offenders, performance of Dispute Resolution Committees, and verification of mosque imams and other key issues.
The IG Punjab appreciated the services of outgoing RPOs, the CPO Gujranwala, and DPOs and directed the newly appointed regional and district officers to perform their duties with utmost responsibility.
Dr. Usman Anwar, in consultation with the prosecution, issued strict instructions for the early completion of pending challans and ensuring the accurate and uniform entry of data. The IG Punjab said that the immediate arrest of miscreants involved in sabotaging law and order must be ensured at all costs.
