LAHORE:Commissioner Lahore Division Marryam Khan said that 45,000 saplings will be planted around the drains passing through the city. She said that there was an equal focus on every area of Lahore and a clean city is the right of every citizen.
She shared this information while talking during her visit to Babu Sabu area and Sabzazar THQ Hospital where she reviewedthe implementation of the instructions of Chief Minister of Punjab on the Clean-Green and Healthy City Lahore Mission here on Thursday.
Commissioner Lahore reviewed the cleanliness, green belts, desilting, pothole repair, drains and cleaning, curb stone and zebra crossing paint. On this occasion, DC Lahore Syed Musa Raza and other administrative officers were also present while AC City Rai Babar gave a briefing. During the visit of Commissioner Lahore, teams of LWMC, PHA, Wasa, TEPA, MCL and other departments were active in field to implement the Clean and Green Lahore Mission. She said that as per the instructions of the Punjab CM, the administration was fully focused on cleanliness, beautification and greenery. She said that after cleaning, the roads were being washed with water, which helps in reducing smog pollution. She said that lists of every tehsil of Lahore were ready and improvement/ beautification was being reviewed by visiting different areas on a daily basis as per the plan.
