Islamabad:The Embassy of France hosted the first French Alumni Gala Dinner and Awards 2025 here, bringing together graduates of French institutions to celebrate their achievements and contributions to Pakistan.
The event highlighted the strength of the France-Pakistan partnership and the exceptional impact of French alumni network, according to France's Ambassador Nicolas Galey. Five outstanding alumni, honoured for their leadership, innovation and commitment to positive change, included Zafar Masud, president and CEO of the Bank of Punjab; Sadaffe Abid, founder and CEO of CIRCLE; Asad Monga, chef, forager and culinary entrepreneur; Aania Alam, managing partner and CEO of AEON Advisors; and Fizza Hasan, founder and director of Theatre Wallay.
The organisers said every awardee embodied the spirit of their theme: “Talents to Change the World.” They said the awardees' accomplishments reflected the transformative power of international education and the shared commitment to building a better future.
The ambassador thanked all alumni, partners and guests for making the event a memorable milestone. "Together, we continue to strengthen the bridge between France and Pakistan," he said. The evening also featured a vibrant fashion show in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design where talented students presented beautiful custom-designed costumes. Their creativity and craftsmanship added an artistic dimension to the celebration, highlighting the emerging talent shaping the future of Pakistan’s design industry.
