PESHAWAR: Hazara clinched the title of Zalmi Women’s Cricket League Season Two, defeating Peshawar All Stars by seven wickets on Monday.
The tournament, organized in Peshawar, was held through a collaboration between Peshawar Zalmi, Zalmi Foundation, Ufone 4G, UN Women, and the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.Following the success of Season One, the second season concluded with Hazara’s victory.
In the final played at Hayatabad Sports Complex, Peshawar, the Peshawar team batted first and scored 59 runs for the loss of three wickets.Hazara successfully chased the target, also losing only three wickets.Mahnoor Qayyum played a role in Hazara’s win with a valuable 28-run contribution.
Several guests attended the final, including Zalmi superstar Mohammad Haris, Pakistan Test player Sajid Khan, UN Women Deputy Country Representative Jacqui Ketunuti, UNFPA Country Representative Dr. Luay Shabaneh, Secretary Sports Tashfeen Haider, Secretary Education Kamran Afridi, and Peshawar Zalmi’s Mian Abbas Laeeq.
