Islamabad: The Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) Secretariat has said the Federal Treasury Office has no affiliation and nexus with the FTO.
A spokesman for Federal Tax Ombudsman told reporters that reports incorrectly suggested an FIA’s raid at the tax ombudsman’s office. He said the FTO Office was a constitutional institution that dealt with the resolution of tax disputes of taxpayers.
“We are a quasi-judicial forum and have nothing to do with the business of stamp papers,” he said. The spokesman said the Federal Treasury Office had no affiliation and nexus with the Federal Tax Ombudsman.
