Haseeb Jamali elected SHCBA president for 2025-26

Mohammad Haseeb Jamali has been elected the president of the Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) for the year 2025-26 in the annual bar association polls held on Saturday.

Election commissioner Zulfiqar Ali Khan Jalbani announced the results, according to which Jamali secured 2,679 votes, defeating former president Mohammad Sarfaraz Ali Metlo, who bagged 2,604 votes. Abdul Wahab Baloch, the other contestant, secured 44 votes.

Tarique Ali Jakhrani was elected the vice president after bagging 1,479 votes, defeating Ahteshamullah Khan, Farrukh Zia Sheikh, Mohammad Ibrahim Soomro, Mohammad Shahnawaz, Mohammad Tariq Iqbal Malik, Naveed Ali Khokhar and Shaukat Ali Sheikh.

Fareeda Mangrio was declared the returning candidate for the office of honorary secretary with 2,582 votes, defeating Ali Imran Mithani and former secretary Mirza Sarfaraz Ahmed, who secured 1,463 and 1,257 votes respectively.

Syed Naimatullah Shah was declared successful for the post of treasurer after bagging 3,066 votes against Liaquat Ali Awan, who secured 2,074 votes. Huzaifa Khan won the joint secretary’s post after polling 2,311 votes, defeating Fida Hussain Khatyan and RB Qureshi, who bagged 710 and 2,244 votes respectively.

Roop Mala Singh (Rajput) was elected additional joint secretary for women affairs. She secured 2,426 votes, defeating Fauzia Mushtaq and Rukshanda Waheed, who bagged 2,193 and 624 votes respectively.

The elected managing committee comprise Nasira Brohi, Abdul Wahab Bhutto, Khalid Hussain Shar, Mohammad Atif, Shariq Naveed, Imran Taj, Mohammad Farid Bilawani, Rukhsana Umar and Sri Chand Oad.
