KOHAT: The funeral prayers for the martyred Constable Sajjad were offered with state honours at the Karak Police Lines on Wednesday.
His body was later sent to his hometown where he was laid to rest with state honours.The martyred policeman was posted in Bannu district and had returned to his native village in Tappi when he was targeted by terrorists near his home the previous night.
Besides Regional Police Officer (RPO), Kohat Region, Abbas Majid Khan Marwat, District Police Officer Karak Saud Khan, Deputy Commissioner Asad Sarwar, Superintendent of Police Investigation, SP Counter-Terrorism Department, circle SDPOs, police officers and personnel, Khattak Ittehad president Al-Haj Mudasir Ayub, a large number of local residents attended the funeral.
On this occasion, RPO Abbas Majid Marwat met the family of the martyr and expressed heartfelt condolences, assuring them that the perpetrators would soon be brought to justice.
