QAMBAR SHAHDADKOT: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that granting homeownership to over two million women in Sindh is the beginning of a quiet social revolution, whose far-reaching benefits will continue to emerge over time.
Bilawal visited the under-construction houses being developed under the Sindh Peoples Housing Project for flood-affected families (SPHF) in New Tharo Wadho village, Taluka Mirokhan, District Qambar Shahdadkot. On the occasion, he handed over ownership certificates to the women of these households.
Speaking to the flood-affected families, Bilawal said that the world’s largest free housing scheme, launched by the Sindh Government, is now rapidly nearing completion. Praising the courage and resilience of the flood-affected families during their difficult times, Bilawal said that the Sindh government’s landmark housing initiative would not have been possible without their strength and determination. He said that the Sindh government is also working to equip the newly constructed houses with solar energy, and proper sanitation facilities.
