SKARDU: Two bodies from the Kargil region of occupied Kashmir, flowing into the Indus River, have reached Skardu in a week’s time.
A few days ago, a woman’s body was found on the banks of Indus River near the village of Mayardo in Kharmang district.
She was identified as Bilqis Bano. The body found on the banks of Indus River at Kharmang Khas on Monday was that of Shabbir Ahmad, a resident of Daras Kargil, who had crossed the river in a car and reached the other side of the border.
The relatives of Shabbir Ahmed and Bilqis Bano have appealed to the governments of Pakistan and India through social media to deliver the bodies to them through the ancient route of Kargil.
