Mortal Kombat II (starring Karl Urban, Adeline Rudolph, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Martyn Fords) – martial arts fantasy, sequel to Mortal Kombat (2021), the fourth instalment in the series; the champions of Earthrealm, joined by Johnny Cage (Urban), are forced into battle against one another as they attempt to defeat the dark rule of emperor Shao Kahn (Fords).

The Sheep Detectives (starring Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon) – mystery comedy, based on Leonie Swann’s 2005 novel Three Bags Full; a flock of sheep set off to solve the mystery of who murdered their beloved shepherd (Jackman).

Remarkably Bright Creatures (starring Sally Field, Lewis Pullman, Colm Meaney, Joan Chen) – mystery drama, based on Shelby Van Pelt’s 2022 novel; after bonding during night shifts at an aquarium, an elderly widow (Field) sets off to help a young man (Pulman).

Stephen Adam Amell

• Born on 8 May 1981 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
• Is a first cousin of actor Robbie Amell.
• Appeared in series including Beautiful People (2005), Dante’s Cove (2005), The Vampire Diaries (2011), and Private Practice (2012), before getting his big break after being cast as the lead in the DC Comic superhero series Arrow (2012 – 2020), subsequently portraying Oliver Queen in the Arrowverse franchise.
• Has since starred in the drama series Heels (2021 – 2023) and the Suits spin-off Suits LA (2025).
• Has also appeared in the professional wrestling circuit.
• Upcoming projects include the Baywatch reboot series (2026).
