What is it about: On International Women’s Day, Beech Ki Jagah is holding a baithak that celebrates womanhood. The fundraising event promises to be an evening “where we will enjoy embroidering our memories together and making small trinkets to gift your favourite women; and listening to and sharing stories/ pieces of womanhood from women of all ages, times and walks of life.”
The event is for women, their “amma, naani, khala, friends and partners!” Stags are not allowed.
*Poetry Circle with Umayr Aamir
When: March 14. At 2pm.
Where: British Council Library, Lahore.
What is it about: The event offers participants a chance to create new work with Umayr Aamir, a poet, published author and typography designer. They can “share their thoughts, listen to others and be inspired by the wonderful world of rhythmic words through poetry.”
The event is suitable for curious newcomers as well as regular poets.
Members as well as non-members can participate.
