KARACHI: inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, has announced an initiative to deliver STEM, coding and artificial intelligence (AI) training to school-age children and youth across Pakistan, the company said on Thursday.
Under the programme, 80 per cent of seats will be reserved for drivers’ children and the remaining 20 per cent for children from marginalised communities, split across three age groups. The model follows a successful pilot in Egypt. inDrive riders can also donate loyalty coins earned through the inDrive MAX programme to help fund the initiative’s resources and infrastructure.
“Our goal is to treat technology and programming as tools for meaningful social action, not just as isolated digital skills,” said Muhammad Awais Saeed, country lead for inDrive Pakistan. The programme aims to train over 400 students, with around 100 per location, delivered through four to five learning groups at each site.
