LAHORE: Pakistan’s Saleema Imtiaz has etched her name into the history books by becoming the first Pakistani woman to officiate at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Her achievement marks a significant milestone for Pakistan cricket and highlights the growing presence of women officials in international sport.

Imtiaz joined the ICC International Development Panel in 2024, a pathway designed to nurture and promote emerging umpires and match officials. She made her on field debut during the New Zealand vs Scotland fixture and later officiated in the high profile clash between India and Bangladesh, earning praise for her composure and professionalism.
