Focus on improving facilities for devotees at Data Darbar: minister

LAHORE:The Punjab government is taking practical measures to provide the best facilities to devotees visiting Data Darbar and the security arrangements, cleanliness and administrative affairs for devotees have been made more effective.

Provincial Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin expressed these thoughts during his visit to shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) where he also participated in the Ghusal ceremony.Special prayers were offered for the peace, progress, prosperity, and security of the country.

On this occasion, Bilal Yasin stated that the teachings of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) are key source to promote values of love, brotherhood, tolerance, and service to humanity. “Data Darbar is a great centre of spiritual blessings, peace, and harmony in the subcontinent”.

He added that the teachings of the saints are a means of promoting tolerance, unity, and brotherhood in society. “Introducing the younger generation to the thoughts and teachings of the Sufi saints is the need of the hour”.

He said the Punjab government is paying special attention to the development, preservation, and beautification of religious and spiritual centres. “Preserving the spiritual traditions of Data Darbar is a collective responsibility of all of us”.

Speaking on the occasion, Adviser to CM Ali Dar said that in line with the vision of CM Punjab, continuous measures are being taken for the improvement, restoration and provision of better facilities at the religious sites for devotees. He appreciated the efforts of all relevant departments and institutions for ensuring the best arrangements for the ceremony.
