IHC fixes June 29 for hearing: PTI founder, Bushra Bibi appeals in £190m case

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday scheduled for hearing on June 29, the appeals filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi against their convictions in the £190 million case.

According to the cause list issued by the IHC Registrar for the upcoming week, a division bench comprising Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif would hear the appeals.

The PTI founder and Bushra Bibi have also filed contempt of court petitions in connection with the matter.

Earlier, the court had directed that signed vakalatnamas (powers of attorney) be submitted within seven days.

The appeals are expected to come up for regular hearing before the division bench on June 29.
