MANSEHRA: The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Baffa-Pakhal on Tuesday demolished permanent and temporary buildings and structures obstructing the right of way along the Karakoram Highway (KKH) and other roads and bazaars in the tehsil.
“We have launched an anti-encroachment drive and removed structures built on public land along the KKH and other roads and bazaars in our tehsil,” Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Baffa-Pakhal Mazhar Muzaffar Awan told reporters.
The TMA’s anti-encroachment team, led by Inspector Waseem Khan, demolished encroached portions of buildings and other structures with the help of heavy machinery in Baffa and Shinkiari towns and along the KKH, clearing the right of way.
The team also removed temporary structures, stalls and handcarts during the operation and shifted them to TMA storage facilities.“We have cleared the right of way along the KKH and other highways and link roads to ensure the smooth flow of traffic,” Awan said.
