Islamabad:Islamabad Police have arrested three men, including the victim’s father, for their alleged involvement in a ‘blind murder’ case in Banigala area.

The victim, identified as Bushra, was killed on May 20, 2026. According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, the suspects initially claimed that she died of electrocution and quickly buried her to cover up the crime.

Using Safe City surveillance cameras, human intelligence and modern forensics, the Banigala Police traced and arrested the suspects -- victim’s father Zahir Shah; her former husband, Asad Khan and her father-in-law, Pir Muhammad. DIG Tariq commended the investigative teams for solving the case and stated that all legal requirements will be met to ensure the accused are fully prosecuted.
